Inez Milholland was born on August 6, 1886 and she died on November 25, 1916. The nation grieved after the news of her death spread across the nation. Americans loved Inez for her remarkable leadership, her unrelenting inspiration, and dedicated work to bring about votes for women. Molly Murphy MacGregor submitted a nomination supporting Inez’s induction in the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 2018.
The film, “Inez Milholland: Forward into Light” is a moving, 15-minute tribute produced by Martha Wheelock and Wild West Women that was released in 2016. It has been featured in several prominent film festivals, including the American Documentary Film Festival (best short Documentary), Women in Action Film Festival (editing and writing awards), Vassar Film Festival, and Pasadena Film Festival (editing and writing awards).
