About Book

Four generations were impacted by the movement to win women’s voting rights in the United States. Marguerite Kearns tells how she learned about the long and difficult struggle from her grandfather, Wilmer Kearns, and how she pieced together the details of her family history.

When Kearns asked her mother, “Why am I the way I am?” this opened up a lifetime of learning how her grandparents and generations in her family (including herself) were never the same again.
